Dwayne Jhonson‘s full name is Dwayne Douglas Jhonson born on May 2, 1972. His ring name is The Rock and he is a former professional wrestler and an active Hollywood actor.
Early life
Dwayne born on May 2, 1972, in Hayward, California and his father is Rocky Jhonson and his mother Ata Mavia. His father was a great wrestler and his mother is the daughter of Peter Mavia who is also a great wrestler.
He belongs to Anoas family in which Umaga, Rikishi, Yokozuna, Roman Reigns, Nia Jax are part of this family and they are a great wrestler as Dwayne. He used to watch his father wrestle in-ring but he loves to play football.
Football Career
His family shifted to grey Lynn, Newzealand where he studied from Richmond Road Primary School. His family came back to the U.S.A where he completed his high school from President William Mckinley.
In 11th grade, his family shifted to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he played football for Freedom High School. Apart from football, he participated in track events and wrestling also. He becoming a great footballer and he gets offers from many universities.
He got admission in the University of Miami and played at the position of a defensive tackle. In 1991 he was on Miami Hurricanes national championship team. Then played in Canadian football league Calgary Stampeders but he was injured.
He replaced by Warren Sapp and due to regular injuries, he have to quit football and decided to pursue a career as a professional wrestler.
Wrestling Carrer
He started training for wrestling from his father for one year. Then he signed a contract with WWF(now WWE). On November 4, 1996, he made a debut on Monday Night Raw with the name of Rocky Mavia, which is taken by his father’s and grandfather’s ring name.
On November 17, 1996, he wrestled his first match at Survivor Series in a traditional survivor series elimination match. He eliminated Crush & Goldust and became the sole survivor.
On February 13, 1997, Monday night Raw he wrestled against triple h for the Intercontinental Championship and finally won the Championship. April 28. 1997 in a match against Mankind he injured his leg and return on august and made a tag team as Nature of Domination.
He also won the Royal Rumble(2000) match and main event WrestleMania 5 times. He won eight-time WWF/WWE Championship, Two-time WCW/World Championship, Two-time Intercontinental Championship & Five-time WWF Tag Team Championship and also a Sixth Triple Crown Champion.
From 1996-2004 he made a great career in wrestling and became a part-time wrestler in WWE. He appeared last at Wrestlemania 33 where wrestle a match against Erick Rowan and defeated him in 6 seconds.
Acting Carrer
He made his debut in Mummy Returns(2001), and then he became a lead actor in The Scorpion King(2002) and they paid Dwayne 5.5 million dollars and he became the highest-paid actor in the first starring film.
He had done many films like The Rundown(2003), Be Cool(2005), Fast and Furious 6, Baywatch(2017), Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle(2018) and many films. One of his recent film Fast and Furious: Hoobs and Shaw(2019).
His upcoming movies are Jumanji: The Next Level which is to be released in 2020 and also he was doing a superhero movie for DC and he is playing as Black Adam as villain Shazam.
He is the highest-paid actor till 2016 not only as an actor but he also produced a movie Fighting With My Family (2019) which is a story of a WWE former wrestler Paige and her family. He also gives donations to the University of Miami and other institution.
Personal Life
He married Dany Garcia on may 3,1997 and they have one child they, broke up on June 1, 2007. Then he starts dating Lauren Hashian daughter of famous drummer Sib Hashian and they married on August 18, 2019, and they have two children.
He received a partial Samoan tattoo on his left side in 2003 and a “Brahma bull” tattoo on his right arm covered with a larger of a bull’s skull in 2017.
